Removing the contoursWhen we built the temporary green some contouring was added that has to be removed now that the area is returning to fairway.
The sod is reused once the contour is flatten

Prepare the old temporaries by cleaning out the green bedAfter removing the old turf the bed is like a hard sand trap.
Currently these areas are ground under repair, mandatory drop.

Start removalThe old temporaries have deteriorated over the last 6 months waiting for summer to be replaced with fairway grasses.

New Score Card - TemporaryThe card is temporary until a few hundred rounds have been played and the cards have been reviewed by the handicap committee. An example of possible change, number 02 could become the number 1 handicap because the bunker in front of 05 was removed. Also note the new tee colors.

01 Left sacrificeNumber one left had to make the ultimate sacrifice for the opening of the new golf course. Unfortunately our greens nursery was damaged by a irrigation failure during the hottest part of the summer. Our only source of suitable sod was was the practice putting and chipping greens and our extra green number one left.Sep 23, 2011
